Technically, it’s already fall but in Houston, it’s 100 sweaty sticky hot at least until January. We rounded up some of our favorite places to grab a chill down snack.
Steel City Pops:
This gourmet hand-crafted in house popsicle shop made its official debut in the Heights Though bit pricey than your average grocery pops, these are worth every penny! Our favorites are: passion fruit, watermelon, cookies & cream, and pina colada.
Grab your pops at: 420 E 20th St, Houston, TX 77008
Amorino Gelato:
Amorino is located right next to iPic in the River Oaks District, forget your old school Marble Slab or Cold Stone – step up your movie date and go to Amorino. Their signature freshly sourced ingredients really makes a big difference in flavor. Doesn’t hurt that they turn your cone into a work of art – helloo petal ice cream!
Amorino: 4444 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77027
Class 502:
Located in Chinatown, Class 502 finally brings the new ice cream fad, rolling ice cream to Houston. Seeing the production of this neat invention is the best part, with lots of flavor options to choose from, everyone will find something they like. Bonus: Class 502 also serves classic bubble tea and smoothies.
Class 502: 9889 Bellaire Blvd D220, Houston, TX 77036
Mango Beach:
Get your raspa and fresh fruits fix here. Raspa is what you know as shaved ice, but better! They say don’t judge a book by its cover – Mango Beach serves up a mean raspa and refreshing fruit cups topped with chamoy and chilli powder. A must order here is the chamoy raspa. Insider tip: cash only!
Mango Beach: 2304 White Oak Dr, Houston, TX 77009
