On November 19, we had the pleasure to attend the 11th annual Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival. Not only is it a beautiful, fun filled festival, but it is also a fundraiser for The Center for Hearing and Speech, a local non-profit that serves children with hearing loss.
This year, the Via Colori raised more than $400,000 to benefit The Center for Hearing and Speech and attracted over 25,000 attendees!!
More than 200 local and international artists turned the streets of downtown Houston into a massive outdoor art gallery with chalk murals inspired by the festival’s theme, A Colorful World.
Via Colori also showcased 16 youth artists from local high schools through its Via Apprendista program.
We also had the pleasure to cath up with Houston’s very own graffiti artist, GONZO247!
The festival featured family-friendly activities, awesome performances, yummy food trucks, and even a VIP Lounge! Via Colori graciously provided us VIP access. 😎 In the VIP Lounge we were treated to delish food, cocktails, tastings through themed-events throughout the day.
Ready for next year? then mark your calendars for the 12th annual Via Colori festival on November 18 and 19, 2017!
