UNFORTUNATELY THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS CLOSED
If you don’t like tacos, I don’t know if I can trust you. Recently, Dorina & I had the opportunity to try the brand new taco & tequila joint in the heart of downtown – Dizzy Kaktus. Located between Main St and Congress Ave, it’s a stone throw away from all the poppin’ downtown bars – Honeymoon, Pastry War, Nightingale Room etc.
Dorina being a hard critic on tacos and me just a fan of food, we were pleasantly surprised! It was so delicious we came back the next day after a night of debaucherous fun and too many happy drinks.
Dizzy Kaktus should be your IT late hour eatery. They are open until 3 am on Friday and Saturday. Did I mention they have killer margaritas?! Tip: Always get your margarita “extra dizzy” here, you won’t regret it.
We went taco happy and ordered some of their most popular items. Our favorite were The Texan, Korean BBQ, and the vegetarian option Goldie Hawn. The taco size is generous and very reasonably priced.

Goldie Hawn: Lightly battered & fried cauliflower, brussel sprout, bell pepper; tossed in a sriracha mayo, dressed with cabbage & queso fresco on a flour tortilla
Korean BBQ: Marinated, grilled & shaved ribeye served with a sriracha lime sauce, onion, carrot, cabbage with sesame seed oil drizzle on a flour tortilla
Pork on Pork Crime: Pulled pork served with cabbage, onions, queso fresco, cilantro, and pork skins dressed with hot sauce on a flour tortilla
The Texan Taco: Hand battered & fried tender served with lettuce & tomatoes dressed with hatch chili queso on a flour tortilla

Buffalo Chicken Taco: Hand battered & fried tender tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, topped with lettuce, carrots, and bleu cheese dressing
Bond, James Bond: Marinated & fried octopus served with pickled carrots, chopped kale, onions, and dressed with sriracha rice vinegar on a flour tortilla
Dizzy Kaktus also serves dessert tacos. Who would say no to Nutella, especially as a late night snack 😉 I suggest ordering both and dipping the Nutella taco IN the ice cream #heavyinmouth

The Choco Loco: Homemade waffle taco, filled with vanilla bean ice cream, dipped in dark chocolate & topped with pistachio crumbles
Banana Nutella & Cream: Nutella & marshmallow cream, filled in a homemade waffle torta and then deep fried
Dizzy Kaktus is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So come by for a dose of taco anytime!
Cheers,
