Spotlight: Gigi’s Playhouse

The both of us work in community relations so whenever there’s a wonderful non-profit, we feel compelled to get the word out. Three years ago through work we met our friend Monique. Monique introduced us to Gigi’s Playhouse and shared all the wonderful stories families experienced because of this organization.

Gigi’s Play House is the only nation wide network of Down Syndrome Achievement Center, an inspirational and dedicated place for families to celebrate their child and benefit from free programs that unleash joy, confidence and continuous improvement.

This past Saturday, Gigi’s Playhouse Houston hosted their annual walk at Spring Woods High School to raise funds for the Houston Chapter and awareness of their mission. 

Of course we went to support our dear friend and her son Marley, who has Downs.

The event was comprised of a Kid’s Dash and a 1 Mile Inspirational Walk. It was a VERY hot sunny day, so that was a very powerful mile!
