Travel: Cabo Hotels | Cape & Viceroy

One of the best thing about traveling for us, is the hotels! We love a good resort pool, amenities, yummy food options, and a relaxing spa experience.

Before visiting Cabo, We had a total misconception of how Cabo would be (crazy party town, Cancun’s crazy cousin, filled with all inclusive hotel chains) but that was quickly debunked. Cabo is so BEAUTIFUL, the juxtaposition of beach on one side and the desert on the other is unreal. Bonus, the weather is seriously amazing and NO mosquito!

When we were searching for hotels, we couldn’t decide. So we stayed at two hotels during our time there. First we stayed at The Cape, A Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas and then at boutique hotel in San Jose del Cabo, Viceroy.

Note: Cabo San Lucas is where the airport, the famous “Arch” …oh and where the party is at! 😉  and San Jose del Cabo is an older much “calmer” town/beach that is 30 min away.

The Cape is SO CHIC. GORGEOUS. FUN. and has INCREDIBLE VIEWS. (Plus, you can see the Love Arch from every angle!!!) The Cape is part of The Thompson Hotel group.
cabssOur ocean view room included the famous Love Arch! A few of our favorite things were the swing couch on the balcony and the ridiculously amazing shower and tub!

The service here was impeccable, staff texts you the day of arrival for any needs and they provide a complimentary bottle of tequila! …. Salud!IMG_1511.JPGThere’s a salt water pool and a infinity pool onsite, over looking the gorgeous view! IMG_5405At the Cape, there was also several eating options. The ceviche was SO GOOD. Our favorite was our breakfast room service. Because #VIEWS.IMG_1598
There is also a very cool roof top bar with an amazing view, especially at night!

Viceroy

Viceroy could not be more different from The Cape. It’s tucked in old town San Jose del Cabo and it’s a medium size boutique hotel. What is so unique about this hotel is that it is very modern, minimalist and chic. EVERYTHING is white and they don’t even have a sign outside with the name! This hotel is so relaxing and serene, because instead of having greenery around the hotel, it’s all water.

1marOur room had direct views of the serene water, the pool and that restaurant that looks like a cool nest!

The pool was totally awesome and out of this world! There were cabanas all around and they had amazing cocktails from the nest.

They also had these really fun “rocking” chairs by the pool.

The walkway and beach entrance were very peaceful and serene. We ended our stay with amazing relaxing massage at the spa!

If you are thinking about going to “Cabo” these 2 amazing hotels are great options! So remember, have a crazy fun time in Cabo San Lucas and go relax and enjoy the view in San Jose del Cabo. 😉

Can we just stay in paradise forever?
