Spotlight: 4 Teas to Help Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

I love a good espresso here and there but I am a total tea drinker. There’s hundreds of tea options out there so how do you pick the “right” one? Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite teas that I drink throughout the day to keep me energized and feeling great. Note: I am not a health expert! This is a routine I have done for years and find very beneficial to me 🙂

Tea drinking is actually considered an art in many Asia countries. Just like wine tasting and collection, there’s tea tasting, ceremony, and priced tea collections. Fun Fact: Tea originated in Southwest China, where it was used as a medicinal drink!

Morning:
I always start my morning with a cup of green tea. Green tea is great for keeping your tummy flat. Lately I been loving this Green Tea Lemon Grass by Traditional Medicinal. I have this brewed in the morning and enjoy 2-3 cups before breakfast. Matcha is also a great option! Both are packed with caffeine to get you through those early mornings 😉

Midday:
After breakfast, I switch over to something more herbal or floral. Turmeric has fantastic anti-inflammatory properties and tons of health benefits. If I am craving sweets, I will go for a floral or fruit tea.

Afternoon:
Usually by 2 or 3 p.m. I need a major pick me up! I will either drink another green tea or I will go for a black tea. Darjeeling tea is a great option and you can have it with some cream and honey!

Night:
I don’t always drink tea at night, but if I do, I drink this sleepy time tea or a chamomile tea. I find these teas don’t necessary put me to sleep, but just the smells makes me feel at ease and relaxed 🙂

Hope you find this helpful and inclined to venture into tea!

Cheers,
Annie
