Spotlight: Casa Fayette

While I was traveling during the holidays, I had the pleasure to spend the last days of 2017 in the retro, chic Casa Fayette hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico…. and I absolutely enjoyed every second of it 😉

This was my first time actually staying in a hotel in Guadalajara and I could have not asked for a better place to have done so. Casa Fayette is the newest hotel of Grupo Habita that opened in 2015. It is located in one of the trendiest areas of Guadalajara, in the Lafayette neighborhood where you can find many cool and hip restaurants and bars within walking distance.

What is unique about Casa Fayette, is that part of the hotel: the restaurant, lobby and bar used to be a beautiful mansion that was built in the 1940’s and the other part is a new contemporary tower with thirty-seven rooms and a spa.

Upon entering the lobby of Casa Fayette, you will immediately feel that retro chic-ness in the atmosphere. This feeling is achieved by the color palette in the walls, the furniture and interior design. The design and architecture combine perfectly and make it very welcoming.

You can enjoy breakfast on the quaint patio on the first floor and relish the beautiful scenery

Or grab a hipster cocktail in the stylish bar area or a delicious meal in the restaurant.

Fun Fact: They actually have “real” room keys and they come with a super cute tassel key chain! ❤

The rooms are very cozy, spacious and modern. The bathrooms are totally cool and chic, they make you feel like you are in a fancy, retro movie.

Casa Fayette also counts with a rooftop pool and terrace bar with shaded lounging areas, where you can enjoy refreshing cocktails.

Day or night, the views are mesmerizing! ❤

Another cool thing about Casa Fayette is that you can tour the surrounding area on vintage bicycles!  If you happen to be there on a Sunday like we were, you can catch the “Via Recreativa” this is when they close down some main streets so you can bike or run for a couple of hours and enjoy the city while you exercise.

I can truly say, that my experience at Casa Fayette was absolutely fantastic! The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the amenities were top of the line. The food and cocktails were simply amazing too!

If you ever have a chance to visit the lovely city of Guadalajara, consider staying at Casa Fayette. I promise you will LOVE it as much as I did.
