HTX Spots: Momentum Indoor Climbing

Are you looking for a fun, new weekend activity to do in Houston? Well, we got a fun suggestion for you…Momentum Indoor Climbing! Before last weekend, I had never done rock climbing before so I was a bit hesitant about it, especially because you do not wear a harness… but this experience turned out to be a blast!

From the moment you walking into the 43,000 square foot beast of a bouldering gym at Momentum Indoor Climbing, you will feel the adrenaline rush you need to get you ready to embark on this adventure. Don’t be scared! It’s a real easy process and a lot of fun.

  • Check in at front desk
  • Sign waver and get climbing shoes
  • Get assigned to an instructor for your group
  • Start hour class with instructor, that will give you the fundamentals of how to Boulder (rock climb)
  • Have fun!

I am not going to lie, it is an extreme upper body work out and your hands kinda hurt after a while, but it is totally worth it! You will feel like a total badass afterwards 😉 Scared of falling? Don’t be! It’s actually pretty fun to fall into those fluffy cushions.

What is convenient, is that they have  2 Momentum Indoor Climbing locations in the Houston area. One by the Winter Street Studios, where they have all those cool murals near Washington Ave., and the other one in Katy Mills.

You don’t have to break the bank to check out Momentum Indoor Climbing, right now they have a 2×1 special for only $30 on Groupon for both locations.  Buy the Groupon here!

Grab your friends or family, and step out of your comfort zone and go rock climbing this weekend! 😉

Houston Locations:
