It’s August in Houston! which means 100 degree weather with intense humidity and… every H-town foodie’s favorite time of year, Houston Restaurant Weeks ! 🙂
If you are not familiar with Houston Restaurant Weeks, here is a little 101:
- Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest annual fundraiser for America’s largest food bank, the Houston Food Bank.
- It’s a five week dining extravaganza featuring specially priced lunches, brunches and dinners at restaurants from The Woodlands to Galveston, Texas.
- HRW gives people in Houston an opportunity to experience Houston’s exceptional restaurants while providing much-needed relief for families suffering from hunger.
- Participating restaurants make donations directly to the Houston Food Bank based upon how many brunches, lunches and dinners they sell during the event. (see below)
Our squad decided to go to Brasserie 19 for this special Houston foodie festivity. If you like to hang out inside the loop, enjoy great food and drinks and are fond of people watching, we are sure you have been here before! 😉 If you haven’t, check it out Thursday night, we promise you will be entertained. The ambiance and décor at Brasserie 19 are on point. You know…that River Oaks style!
Wesley and Dorina opted for the HRW menu and Kylie and Annie ordered a la carte.

As usual, Brasserie 19 did not disappoint and we had an excellent time. What better place to kick off the foodie festivities!
Text your friends, pick a new restaurant from HRW, have a great time and help the hungry families in Houston! Who knew fine dining could be charitable too. 🙂
Have you been to any HRW restaurants yet? Let us know which ones are your favorites 😉
Cheers,
